Our main focus for children is in Tae Kwon Do. For adults, we know that fitness and MMA are the main favorites. That is why Island Martial Arts has so many great classes geared for adults wanting to train in MMA or LOSE WEIGHT and STAY IN SHAPE, without the all the belts and milestone celebrations as the kids classes have.
For adults, we go more heavily into mixed martial arts. The classes are based more directly towards physical fitness and self-defense on all grounds. Teaching a broad spectrum of martial arts techniques for the street or the ring. Our classes include takedowns, throws, chokes, joint locks and more. Our intense and exciting workouts are sure to get you to your fitness goals no matter what they may be. There is no age limit or fitness requirement for this class; our instructors will be happy to work with you and help you improve no matter what your physical limitations are.
Designed to burn fat, tone the body. We encourage you every step of the way to meet your fitness goals: firm butt, smaller waist, toned arms and a healthy body.
The drills we teach vary by day but are vast in number. Although you may not realize it at first, the drills we do are teaching easy self-defense methods to protect yourself, while still offering one of the most difficult workouts around.
